Books as chat messages

We keep the author's exact words, every sentence, in order. We just give the dialogue to the people who said it.

The page

“My dear Mr. Bennet,” said his lady to him one day, “have you heard that Netherfield Park is let at last?” Mr. Bennet replied that he had not.

Questions

How is this different from a Kindle or Apple Books?

A Kindle, Kobo or Apple Books ereader gives you the page as it was printed. Blurbl keeps the author's exact words but hands the dialogue to the characters who speak it, so a novel reads like a group chat. It's a different way into the same book — better for picking up ten minutes at a time, and for anyone who bounces off a dense page of nineteenth-century prose.

Is the text abridged or rewritten?

No. Every sentence of the original appears, in its original order, with the author's own spelling and punctuation. The only words removed are bare speech tags like “said Elizabeth” — the speaker's name above the bubble already says it.

Are the books free?

Several are free to read in full, and every book is a public-domain classic. Blurbl Plus unlocks the rest of the library plus offline downloads.

Can I read offline?

Yes — download any book with Plus and it reads without a connection, progress and all, syncing again next time you're online.

What devices does it run on?

iPhone, on iOS 16 or later. There's no Android or web reader yet.
